Speakers Bios:
 

Jason J. Barb, CPA, FHFMA, CHFP Mr. Barb is a member of BKD National Health Care Group and provides audit reimbursement and consulting services to hospitals, long-term care facilities and governmental and not-for-profit organizations.  Mr. Bard is a graduate of Pittsburg State University with degrees in accounting and information systems and he his experience includes managing engagements for health care provider financial audits, internal control reviews, preparation and review of Medicare and Kansas Medicaid cost reports, financial consulting and performing employee benefit plan audits.


Matthew M. Morris, CPA.  Mr. Morris is a member of the BKD National Health Care Group overseeing and providing audit and consulting services for BKD’s health care and not-for profit clients.  Since graduating from MidAmerica Nazarene University with a degree in accounting and business administration he has earned nine years of experience assisting with the implementation of new Financial Accounting Standards Board and Governmental Accounting Standards Board pronouncements, internal control reviews, A-133 reporting and employee benefit plan audits.


Robert W. Lane, MA, CNHA, FACHCA.  Mr. Lane is a senior managing consultant with BKD where he assists post-acute care providers with operational improvements such as survey preparation and compliance, business process improvements, budget analyses, staff retention strategies, documentation and billing procedures, contract reviews, strategic positioning and Medicare/Medicaid certification issues.  Mr. Lane holds degrees from the University of Kansas and the University of Oklahoma and is a licensed and certified nursing home administrator.


Continuing Education:  This course has been approved for 4.0 continuing education hours in the core area of Administration for Licensed Adult Care Home Administrators and Registered Operators by the Kansas Department for Aging and Disability Services.  Health Occupations and Credentialing approved provider number (LTS A1427).
