  • Understand risk factors and rates of problem drinking in older adults.
  • Identify signs and symptoms of alcoholism in adult care residents.
  • Review various intervention and treatment strategies for adult care residents with alcohol addictions. 

Speakers Bios:
 

Shelley Wright is a Licensed Clinical Addiction Counselor with 14 years' experience working with addiction. Ms. Wright also served as an adjunct professor at Emporia State University where she taught Introduction to Addiction classes. 



Continuing Education:  This course has been approved for 2.0 continuing education hours in the core area of Resident Care for Licensed Adult Care Home Administrators and Registered Operators by the Kansas Department for Aging and Disability Services.  Health Occupations and Credentialing approved provider number (LTS A1427).
